July has been a wonderful month for books. I have managed to read so much. My working pattern will have contributed to that as I have done one week on, one week off. I had a lot of holiday to use up before I finish here next Thursday (the countdown has begun!)

I have read a wide range of books this month from children’s books to cosy-crime, general fiction to epic fantasy and I have thoroughly enjoyed myself.

I took part in the Booktubeathon, the aim of which was to read 7 books in 7 days. I finished book 7 on day 8 but in my eyes that’s still success.

Booktubeathon – Are You Taking Part?

The Booktubeathon Rules:

  1. Read a book with pictures.
  2. Start and finish a series.
  3. Read a book with red on the cover.
  4. Read a book someone else picks out for you.
  5. Read a book from the genre you have read the least this year.
  6. Read a book and then watch the movie adaptation.
  7. Read 7 books in 7 days and/or an average of 300 pages a day.

I have chosen the following books; IMG_20140713_154035

  • Warm bodies by Isaac Marion as my ‘book with pictures’ and ‘book to movie adaptation’ I’m yet to see the film so the book will not be spoiled in any way for me. I just hope it’s good, my sister loves it.
  • I have cheated a little with my ‘Start and finish a series’ I will be starting The Maze Runner by James Dashner and finishing the Slated trilogy with Shattered by Teri Terry.
  • Fractured (Slated #2) by Teri Terry is my book with red on the cover.
  • My fiancé picked out Spook’s: A New Darkness by Joseph Delaney for me, he’s read it already and says it’s fantastic, as good, if not better, than The Wardstone Chronicles so I am excited to read it!
