“I always wonder why the birds stay in the same place when they can fly anywhere on the earth. Then I ask myself the same question.”
Such a beautiful quote. Never get trapped in a place that you don’t want to be. You are free. Spread your wings and fly away to where you long to be. Life is too short to live with regrets, always wondering ‘What if…?’
Hello fellow bookworms! I know I’ve been AWOL recently, sorry I missed last week’s TTT, but I am back now and very excited for this week’s Top Ten. I have so many sequels that I have to read, picking 10 could prove very difficult.
The Witches of the Glass Castle: Uprising by Gabriella Lepore – This book will be released on 16th December and I will be downloading the Kindle copy as soon as I wake up on release day. If You have not read TWOGC then I highly recommend that you do.
Siege and Storm (Grisha #2) by Leigh Bardugo – I got this out of the library today so I shall be reading it very soon.
Ruin and Rising (Grisha #3) By Leigh Bardguo.
The Evolution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin.
The retribution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin.
Lux: Consequences (#3 & #4) by Jennifer L Armentrout.
Lux: Opposition (#5) by Jennifer L Armentrout.
Blood Promise (Vampire Academy #4) by Richelle Mead.
Hunted (Sinners #2) by Abi Ketner & Missi Kalicicki.
The Death Code (The Murder Complex #2) by Lindsay Cummings.
The last two are not released until 2015, not sure if I can wait that long!
Bonus choice: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire by J.K Rowling – I just really want to reread this book in my beautiful new cover hardback edition.
“A young girl has been murdered, her body displayed on the front lawn of her university campus. The killing is vicious – and terrifyingly familiar. Someone is copying the methods of one of the country’s most infamous serial killers: Dean’s father.
Back at the Naturals HQ, Cassie, Dean, Michael, Lia and Sloane are dealing with a new FBI agent – and Agent Sterling is determined to keep them out of trouble. But Dean knows too much about his father’s crimes not to get involved, and his fellow Naturals won’t let him face this alone.
But as the bodies mount up, the Naturals find themselves in a deadly dangerous race against time…”
Since reading the first book in this series earlier on this year I have been desperate to get my bookworm-mitts on this book. I bought it a couple of days after the release date and bumped it up to the top of my tbr pile as I simply could not wait. Boy am I glad I didn’t! It was an incredible read, the first book was excellent but this was even better. Barnes’ writing is so easy to read and she introduces the case straight away; there’s no messing around!
I know that some people hate rereading books but I love it, I have favourite books which I reread often. There’s something so lovely about rereading a book which you enjoyed first time around, you see things which you didn’t notice before and fall in love with the characters even more.
The Time Traveller’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger This is my favourite book of all time and I haven’t reread it for a while so I am desperate to do so again sometime soon.
The Witches of Castle Glass by Gabriella Lepore With the second instalment coming out in December I really want to read this again and refresh the characters and story in my mind.
